Military Desiccants, Emitters & Humidity Indicators

Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibitors

Emitters are designed to protect products, components, or parts against corrosion when enclosed in non-ventilated housings, control boxes or other enclosures. The VpCI® Emitter releases a vapor into the interior of the package, the vapor then deposits on the metal surfaces and forms a protective molecular layer. This layer of VpCI® provides multimetal protection and helps reduce corrosion in the enclosure.

Hydrosorbent Dehumidifiers

Hydrosorbent silica gel units prevent condensation and excess moisture in the air; protect from the growth of mould, mildew, musty odours, rust and corrosion; prolong the life of stored guns, ammunition and supplies. A coloured indicator shows when the units need reactivation. Can be easily reactivated in an oven - no need for refills or replacement parts.

Silica Gel Packets

Silica gel packets provide an economic and effective way of protecting against moisture damage during transit and storage. They work by adsorbing and trapping moisture in the air, which in turn lowers humidity and prevents the formation of rust, mould & mildew, as well as minimising spoilage rates in food products. The protection against moisture is achieved by sealing the item suitable an airtight container together with the appropriate sized desiccant packet.

Humidity Indicators

Humidity Indicator Cards play a major roll in completing the Moisture Barrier Packaging assembly. They are there to provide a simple, reliable, visual indication of the relative humidity within a sealed package or any given environment. HIC’s are small chemically impregnated paper instruments designed to monitor relative humidity levels.
